I am in the field of education, coaching students for IIT(JEE) since 1982. I worked as a Mathematics Lecturer in Little Flower Junior College, Hyderabad from 1982 to 2001.
I established an IIT-JEE coaching center named MEGA STUDY CIRCLE, in the year 1995 along with some more people, which became popular as KRISHNA MURTHY Institute. Because of some disputes between partners, we have CLOSED DOWN the institute MEGA STUDY CIRCLE in the year 2003, with mutual consent. All IIT – JEE aspirants and their parents are requested to note the fact that MEGA STUDY CIRCLE is closed. If any study circle is projecting itself as old MEGA STUDY CIRCLE and claiming its success and seniority, it is illegal and un ethical.

KRISHNAMURTHY IIT ACADEMY (KIA) has established itself as one of the premier organizations, coaching students for IIT-JEE and other competitive exams like AIEEE and BITSAT. This has been achieved, by retaining the primary focus of providing all the necessary inputs for students to help achieve their aspiration.
The driving force behind KRISHNA MURTHY IIT ACADEMY is its founder Mr. D. KRISHNA MURTHY, a Professor in Mathematics who is well known in the field of education and popular as "IIT Krishna Murthy". He is a master in Mathematics with 30 years of rich experience in coaching students for IIT-JEE. Besides his excellent teaching skills he is known for his sound understanding of administrative issues. His meticulous planning coupled with quick action and a good team work are the important factors behind his success.
KIA attaches greatest value and importance to its faculty, who are not only eminently qualified, but have specialized experience in preparing students for the IIT-JEE. They do not merely impart knowledge, but also inspire, guide and motivate our students. KIA encourages self study with mentoring from teachers over and above classroom coaching.
Strategies adopted in KIA
IIT–JEE has undergone many changes during the last few years. Accordingly, KRISHNA MURTHY IIT ACADEMY has changed its strategies and methods of coaching, from time to time as per the requirement of JEE.
Ø In the recent JEE papers, students are tested on the areas of experimental facts. To handle such questions, we have introduced additional session, called ‘XP’ which takes care of experiments and related questions. XP-Experiment session.
Ø To be more proficient and accurate, we have a session called ‘TL’ which takes care of students’ doubts and problem solving ability. TL-Tutorial session.
Ø To ensure good benchmarking of the discerning student, we have a test process called ‘CT’. CT-Cumulative Test.
Ø To boost morale of students, we have a session called ‘CB’. CB-Confidence Building
Ø To understand students’ mind well and serve better, we have an interactive session, called ‘PST’. PST-Parent Student Teacher.
Ø To take care of slow learners, we have a session called ‘RL’. RL-Remedial Learning.
Ø In the recent JEE papers, questions of Intermediate level have come. Students with high focus of problem solving can not answer such questions. To take care of them, proper intermediate classes with necessary testing process are provided thru SHIVAM JR COLLEGE which is brain-child of KIA.
Ø By arranging seminars with prominent professors of KRISHNA MURTHY INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY & ENGINEERING (KITE), we are providing awareness on engineering education to the out going students of KIA, and helping them to choose the right branch in engineering.
Ø Regular online exams for BITSAT, which student can write from home.
Ø Hostel Facility will be arranged for limited students
Courses Offered
KRISHNA MURTHY IIT ACADEMY offers the following preparatory courses, selecting the students by conducting an aptitude test, separately for each course.
Long term course
Two year integrated preparatory course for IIT(JEE) + AIEEE & BITSAT
This course is for the 10th passed students, who will be nurtured with utmost care and after two years of intensive studies they will be able to target IIT-JEE , AIEEE and BITSAT and score good percentage of marks in the intermediate examination.
Issue of Applications : 3rd and 4th Sundays of March.
Date of Aptitude test : 3rd or 4th week of April.
Commencement of classes : Second week of June.
Duration of the course : June to February (First year) & April to February (Second year).
Short term course
This course is offered to the students who have completed their Intermediate 1st year and who can grasp the concepts quickly and can prepare for
IIT-JEE/AIEEE/BITSAT within one year.
Issue of Applications : In the month of January.
Date of Aptitude test : 2nd Sunday of February
Commencement of classes : First week of April
Duration of the course : April to February
Repeaters course
This course is for the students who could not clear IIT-JEE in the first attempt. They require not only academic but also psychological, moral and emotional support to concentrate on their aim with dedication.
Issue of Applications : Immediately after IIT-JEE results
Date of Aptitude test : Second Sunday of June
Commencement of classes: Last week of June
Duration of the course : June to February
Note: For all the second year students, mock tests will be conducted after the intermediate exams
